Someone needs to hear this today. Whether it is you or someone you know, speak this truth into yourself/them. If you are a child of God, a believer in Jesus Christ, have been born again into a new life with Christ (GLORY!)…you need to believe these words and apply them to your daily life.
Here is 2 Timothy 1:7 in a variety of translations, yet all say the same truth:
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. NLT
The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control. ERV
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. NIV
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. AMP
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. KJV
I want to encourage you to tell your fear to “Back off” because you God’s Spirit within you. The spirit of power, love, and self-discipline is IN you! Utilize it. Believe it. You are more powerful than the anxiety that is creeping up around you.
