Yesterday, September 28th, was National Family Day.  It is actually stated to be the fourth Monday of September each year (according to Nationaldaycalendar.com).  You’ll find a day for just about anything there.
It worked out perfectly that my mom had already asked about us getting together at my home before they left to go back to Georgia. Having all three of my kiddos home for dinner, along with my mom and step-dad, and one of my brothers and sister-in-loves, made this chic happy.
In the video I referenced how if you aren’t to thrilled about “family day” because you may not desire to gather with some of your own kinfolk, you weren’t alone. Jesus’ own brothers weren’t his biggest fans…at first.

Even though I truly don’t have to have a certified day to enjoy my family, a day for intentionally bringing family together is quite alright with me.  I celebrate my family every day!
They aren’t the only ones I celebrate each day…Jesus!  Did you realize that each time anyone (believers and non-believers) write the year, they are recognizing the birth of Jesus Christ?  Hallelujah!  That’s like Christmas every day!  For me, waking up and reading something from His word each morning is like breathe into my lungs.  Keeping my eyes open for His goodness shining through life experiences is refreshing.  Sharing Jesus and His love is a priority of mine.  Being the light He wants me to be, is something I strive to be each day. (Sometimes I may be a little dim, but I sure try to serve Him brightly.)  Jesus is another one who I don’t need a “certified” day to celebrate.   Christmas and Easter may be to designated days to honor our Lord, but each day is a day of intentionally honoring Him.
I pray that will celebrate life each day.
Blessings to you and yours,
Stephanie
