The warning light came on in my car. A notification appeared in the middle of the screen informing me that my back left tire air pressure was low. I looked at the tire and I couldn’t seem to find anything causing the warning. All I could think about was the scenario that has occurred many times in our home…Our children would have a warning light come on in their vehicles, and didn’t enlighten their dad to the situation until it was too late. The auto troubles could have been more cost effective if they would have paid better attention to the warning signal and heeded to the sign.

How different are we in life?

When you are a Christian you have the Holy Spirit in you. He is your warning signal when trouble is near. If you continue to ignore the Holy Spirit, troubles will probably be more severe and costly than if you/we would have just listened to God.

Now, trouble and trials will occur in life, but there are some decisions and situations we make that could save us from excess heartache.

Listen to the Holy Spirit.

And don’t make the Holy Spirit sad. God gave you his Spirit as proof that you belong to him and that he will keep you safe until the day he makes you free. Ephesians 4:30

But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and will tell you what will happen in the future. John 16:13

You began your life in Christ with the Spirit. Now do you try to complete it by your own power? That is foolish. Galatians 3:3

Don’t be foolish. Listen.

Blessings to you and yours,

Stephanie

BTW…I did have a nail in my tire! The second one in a month. Ugh! But…the dealership fed me chocolate cake. LOL!
