You follow a dream.
One strives for a higher position in their job.
An athlete works at being stronger, faster, and better at their game.
This list could go on and on. But there is something even more important that one should pursue. The reward for this pursuit will be a glorious life! Who wouldn’t want to live a splendid life?
In Proverbs 21:21 we read:
- Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honor. (NIV)
- People who try hard to do good and be faithful will find life, goodness, and honor. (ERV)
- Whoever goes hunting for what is right and kind, finds life itself–glorious life! (NLT)
So no matter what you pursue in life, strive to do what is right and seek God.
