When I read Psalm 16:7-11 my countenance just lit up.  You know I’m a threat to read the scriptures in multiple versions, so I took pieces of my four commonly used versions (NIV, NLT, ERV, and The MSG) and combined them together to remake this portion of the Psalm.  I hope you enjoy God’s word as much as I do:

“I will bless the Lord who guides me; Even at night he put his instructions deep inside my mind. I keep my eyes always on the Lord.  I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.  I’m happy from the inside out, and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed.  You canceled my ticket to hell—that’s not my destination!  You make known to me the path of life; just being with you will bring complete happiness.  Being at your right side will make me happy forever.”
I pray that you will give praise to God as He guides you.  Allow Him to guide your every step. Meditate on His word and pray before you fall asleep at night so your mind is on Him while you rest.  Keep your eyes on Him.  Hold on to God.  He is holding onto you.  Be filled with joy and radiate His love and the happiness He feels you with.  I pray that if you haven’t accepted Christ as your personal savior that you will do it now.  Don’t wait.  I want to see you in Heaven.  The alternative is not pretty.  As you seek guidance in your life, turn to Him, read your bible, seek His face.  God will complete you.  You want happiness?  Have Christ.
Prayer:  “Lord, I praise your holy name.  Thank you for filling me with happiness.  May Your love and the joy you bring to me be evident to others as I go throughout my days.  I love You!  Amen.”
Blessings to you.
