Some precious friends who left over a year ago to serve God "way out". Please pray for the McDaniels.

Many believers in Christ just don’t feel the calling to go out, and I mean way out, to share the Good News of God with others.  That’s okay!  When you are a Christian, you have a responsibility to share Christ with others. It may be in your workplace, neighbor, city, with your country, or wherever.  But there are those who do go to the “ends of the earth” to spread the gospel.
I am so grateful to be a part of a church body  that sends people out to tell others about Christ, or to just simply share His love by their actions.
I pray for friends in Papua New Guinea, Guatemala, Italy, South Asia, and places I can’t even know the true location of due to security, so they call them “Country Z” or “ Country X”.
When I read Romans 15:30-33, I thought about my friends who God has called to go out, way out.  Paul says:

  • 30 Brothers and sisters, I beg you to help me in my work by praying to God for me. Do this because of our Lord Jesus and the love that the Spirit gives us. 31 Pray that I will be saved from those in Judea who refuse to accept our message. And pray that this help I am bringing to Jerusalem will please God’s people there. 32 Then, if God wants me to, I will come to you. I will come with joy, and together you and I will have a time of rest. 33 The God who gives peace be with you all. Amen.

Tim and I receive letters each year from someone who desires to go on a mission trip. In those letters you often see where they are asking you to help defray the cost by assisting financially, or by simply praying.  Maybe you’ve received, or even sent, these same letters before as well.
Even though the financial part of a mission trip can be quite costly, PRAY is a huge factor too.  Paul asked for prayer when he was being sent. Prayer is needed.
When you know of someone who is serving somewhere you can easily turn verse 31 into a prayer by saying, “Lord, I pray that ___will be saved from those in ___who refuse to accept the Good News.”  Not only pray for those who need Jesus, for those who are sharing about Jesus, but for those who have already accepted Christ and their faith to be made strong.
Will you join me in praying for missionaries around the world?  Thanks.
Blessings to you all!
