Ding-a-ling-a-ling. Ding-a-ling-a-ling. Ding-a-ling-a-ling.
That’s the sound of three bells ringing in the past two days.
Remember in the movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life” when Zuzu Bailey said, “Every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings.”?  Well, in a twenty-four hour period I had three loved ones pass away.  God’s welcomed three angels into Heaven.
Knowing what to pray isn’t a problem.  But the words just don’t seem adequate at a time like this.  I’m grateful that Romans 8:26 confirms that, The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
Please pray for the family of:

  • Jean Nappier…my sister-in-law (Jan’s) momma.  I know she is going to be busy working in the lawn of her new mansion along with her husband.
  • Virgil Davis…He was my second cousin, and my best friend/college roommate/cousin’s daddy (April Sanders).  He is wearing orange and blue and laughing it up with Jesus.  Go Gators!
  • Doug Gibbs…one of my husband’s best friends since childhood, my dear friend that hooked me and Tim up when we were juniors in high school.  He is grilling some delicious “heavenly” food. (Save me some, Gibber.)

Matthew 5:4, God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Romans 8:18, We have sufferings now, but these are nothing compared to the great glory that will be given to us.
Ecclesiastes 3:4, A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.
