His head hadn’t hit the pillow for too long before he fearfully yelled “NO!” and his body jolted. When asked “What happened?” He recounted this:
I was out in the outdoor cooking area. There was broken glass, so I was picking it up. On the way back to the house, I heard a noise. I started to run, reached for the door, and was grabbed on the back. I knew there were werewolves in the woods, but had never seen one. When he grabbed me and I yelled, “NO!” and woke up.
I couldn’t stop laughing when Tim told me this dream. When I asked, “What happened next?” He told me, “I have no clue. I woke up.” Amusingly I said, “Go back to sleep and finish the dream.”
Tim went right back to sleep, but I couldn’t stop giggling just thinking about it. I mean, I’M the one who usually dreams or talks in my sleep, not Tim.
The next morning, I told Tim his dream reminded me of how we know the devil is out there ready to grab us at any moment. We just need to flee.
Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the LORD God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed. Amos 5:14
Did you hear that? 1) Run from evil. 2) You will live, when you flee from the devil. 3) God has an army, and He will fight for you.
Remember in John 10:10 when Jesus says, “A thief comes to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.” Believe it, my friend. Watch your back. Satan is always lurking to pounce on you. (Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8) But with God…He has abundant life ready for you.
Yes, God is ready to fight for you. Exodus 14:14 says, “The LORD Himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Amen!
I want to encourage you to yell out a big “NO!” when you feel the enemy trying to grab you on the back. Werewolves may not be real, but the devil sure is. Run! Run to God.
